NutriCart

Website  Repository

Description

NutriCart is a native Android application in Kotlin that captures a user’s food consumption. This application will allow the user to record their grocery lists, daily meals, and weekly food waste. Using the US Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central database, the application will compile information about the user's nutritional intake and spending into a concise report. Depending on the user's goals, the application will also recommend alterations to the user's eating and shopping habits. For example, if a user wants to save money, the app will look for cheaper meals with the same nutritional value and suggest more efficient ways to shop. Or, if a user wants to lose weight, the app will look for ways to reduce calories.

Tech: An android app using kotlin.
